Stop the Sun

I was being curious to find out what cause the commotion in the mall. It took quite a bit of time; therefore I was late for the bus at 5:00.

Because it was impromptu, therefore her speed was a little bit foundered.

The car that I parked near to the park was ruined by a group of gangs. I don’t know what to say, they are so uneducated.

According to the ICT lesson of Access, if you make the field length way too extensive, it is going to be inert when you do the searching process.

Gentleman of Rio en Medio

As an agent, his job is to make negotiation between the home seller and the costumer who is going to purchase for the house as well as the land.

You can’t possibly count the amount of stars on the sky since they are pretty much innumerable!

The boundary of this village is way up to the end of this river.

The ancestors pass down family’s traditions to their descendants.

HYPOTHESIZE STORY GENTLEMAN OF RIO EN MEDIO

9. Hypothesize This story is told from the point of view of the narrator who is the character in the story. How might this story differ if Don Anselmo were the narrator?

Everybody had a unique perspective on everything, not just humans, but if we personified an animal, a bug, furniture, I think they are also going to have their own point of view of thing. Depends on the character who told the story, I indicated we would have been converted into diverse point of view.
In the story Gentleman of Rio en Medio, the lawyer who supervised a negotiation of land to Don Anselmo was the main narrator. His job is to narrate the story, what had happen between his friends and Don Anselmo, and he had done a wonderful job. His narrate was awesome and detail about the story plot and his special perspective, however, he rarely mentioned about Don Anselmo’s emotions nor his weirdness of refusing the extra money from the extra land.
Imagine if it happened that Don Anselmo was the narrator, I assumed the story is going to be way different. We won't have to make prediction of what Don was up to for refusing the extra money, since it was Don’s point of view in which he might prefer to tell us the reason. We will clearly understand of how Don Anselmo felt when selling the house, or hearing the costumer complained about his descendants. He could also have explained the reason of him planting the tree for each person in the village of Rio en Medio. One of the most interesting parts, to me is that we might WOULDN’T have know his name was Don Anselmo, just like the lawyer that we didn’t have chances to find out his real name.

EVALUATE STORY THEME - WAR CAN AFFECT MANY GENERATIONS OF PEOPLE

In my opinion, the three Themes were all correct. However, if asked me to choose one, I would prefer the theme War can affect many generations of people.
Vietnam War in general was a combat between Vietnam and France in 1954, and was split into two halves such as North and South. The South it owns was in advance of weapons provided by the Americans. As it happened, thousand of people were killed, cause Deaths everywhere. Some soldiers who served in Vietnam War were luckily alive; however they were affected by a syndrome that called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, in which caused them suffered anxiety, nightmare, aguish and depressions.
Terry’s father was an excellent example for the PTSD, according to what Terry’s mother had said and the story of war that father told Terry. As Terry noticed the weird behavior from his father, he started to felt embarrassed, in which bothered him a lot and he desired to find out the conclusion of his dad’s weirdness. We can greatly see the connection of how War Affects Many Generations, in which Terry’s dad was effected through war, and that War affection bothered Terry, in which caused him motivation to discover the conclusion.
But PTSD was not the only major problems since the Agent Orange Syndrome existed, which brought tragedies to lots of kids. It took away different parts of their bodies, in which they couldn’t function as well as the normal people. Just Imagine you didn’t use your hand for one, how hard is it going to be? But they had to suffer that Lost for lifetime, without any complains. Unfortunately, AOS can be passed through Giving birth, so then the amount of AOs would eventually be increased. We couldn’t reduce it, since it was lack of medicine.

A RETRIEVED REFORMATION Blog post Vocabularies

“Goodbye!” as Charlie cried to the warden, assuming that he would never meet him again.  He didn’t wish to, unless he felt that the living in the prison was so much fun and the warden eventually be considered as his best friend, who expected him would somehow rehabilitate himself, and vary the cruel attitude of him for the first couple days when Charlie entered inside the prison.
Remember the last Saturday, when the lawyer of him came along, convincing the court to look over his biography, how good he was in high school as a math champions and somehow would contribute for the country some things positive. It will be very wasted if he had to stay in the prison, digging hole for a whole day and left behind his well-educated knowledge. As the court looked over, they assigned him to teach Algebra for the people, or in the past were the gangster who had never been to school. “At least gave those gangs chances to be educated, at least education somehow would change the attitude of them, also, we can base on the reason Charlie devoted his knowledge in teaching to give him the clemency!” suggested a member of the court.

The moment of the painful death of his mother once again flashed through Henry’s mind, caused him a grate anguish. Mrs. White, the greatest woman in his life whom was his mother passed away secretly, no one knows, and he even didn’t want to let them know. He raised in his mind revenges, and revenges fooled his thoughts, as everybody around him was his enemies. And long he varied the attitude of a good boy to a criminal, first smoke, then drug, even more was robbing the bank. But, his skills, his quick moves…cause him certainly became elusive, and so the polices got quite a hard time in order to catch him.

An angel passed me just recently; the innocence reflected on his round, rosy and baby-soft face was the major reason I could had noticed him so quickly. He is an American baby, casually attired in cornflower blue twill suit from Milky tree branch, and was held by his father. His eyes were half-closed from sleepiness, yet still I realized the twinkling deeply blue of his pupils. It’s usually true when person with blue eyes owning blonde; as the hair of him looked smooth as feather, although I didn’t had a chance to feel it, but by peeking at its lustrous blonde and kind of tamed, I could infer. His ba be bi bo bu, something, I couldn’t hear very well since it was too busy in the Ocean Park; however it sounded like he had perceived me looked at him, as he offered me a grin.

NEW VOCABULARIES, 4 words this time!

The principal stood on the school’s stage, talked and talked for an hour about Cycle Bullying. It was a tedious lecture than ever.

“Oh please, you should replace those archaic moccasins already. What is it? 18th century’s fashion, it was like something belonged to Great Zeus.”

“I don’t know” said Mr. Robert to the investigator. “After I waked up, I saw my self lying in front of the yard...” he continued but the answer of him was quite vague.

Since this place was too new for her, she had to inquire the neighbors for way that lead to the supermarket.

SOME MORE VOCABS< ENJOYS! AGAIN, 5 EXTRA PICTURES FOR EXAMPLE BUT CREDIT WON'T INCREASE

“Come to my house and we shall work it out!” said Anthony amiably as if he didn’t know what was going on.

I went from pink to red, I felt really hot and irritated, I flared up but didn’t know why. There wasn’t any reason for me to be mad, it just… A few minutes ago, I was presumptuous that I assumed myself to be the champion, then things turned out I was the last who reached to the target.

The class was being too credulous when heard Mr. Sullivan talked about his brand new silver Audi. A few minutes later, they realized that it was a joke to help they understand the word better.

Her hospitality was rewarded when she actually realized that the stranger who slept over yesterday was a doctor who knew exactly the way to help her prevent from the “handed down from ancestor” cancer.
My grandma’s skin year after year became wrinkle and gnarled.

5 new vocabularies, plus 5 extra pictures! Enjoy!!

_The main things for you to perform an impromptu speech in front of public that is the way you arrange and how do you deliver it to the audience
.
_“Maybe that robber was in the backyard”, cried mom, holding the broom, walking on tiptoe, pushing the backdoor that led to the yard tentatively.
_The artist worked intently in his artwork. His eyes gazed the subject matter anxiously, as if he was trying to find the mistake of the painting.
_My eyes were looking at the teacher as if I was listening quite intently, but my hands were actually under the table, in my backpack, probing for my cell phone. I didn’t remember where it was, and I was pretty apprehensive of losing it.
_“Who’s there?” said Sally as she turned around immediately when heard a brittle voice came out from somewhere, hand’s holding the flashlight. Nothing, no one answered, she only felt an ominous silence and emptiness as she stood stock-still.

A REMARKABLE MEMORY

A Remarkable Memory
I tried to stand up on my own; but I couldn’t so my mom had to help me. “Dud”, I whispered, pretended to be unflustered and bowed my head. I lost complete confidence; I couldn’t even peek at Mr. Robinson. He was stunning, his face turned lividly as he stared at me. “That is”, I doubted my life was over, my legs were frozen, the hair on the back of my neck stood out. It sounded emptiness surrounded me. I blushed, feeling that boiling temperature ran through my body so uncontrollable, my head keep spinning as if i was going to explode.
***
Earlier in that Sunday’s evening, just after an impetuous rain; the sun happily came out. It released balmy beams to run all the way to the end of narrow Rose Street. “Perfect, everything was as perfect as my plan!” I said to myself. First-rate timing, everything was settled, except for the dirty street that we were going to have a bicycle competition. “Who cares?” I supposed and gazed at the road, choosing the best position to race next to Raymond. Raymond was going to be in this race, did you notice that? “OMG!” He was a righteous, hot cutie, big shouldered hunk with piercing brown eyes and black hair, plus he skates; he was everything that girls dreamed, including me. Through this opportunity, I might place there a good image of me in his mind about a sporty teenager by winning the contest.
We gathered every one who was going to race, mostly girls- my enemies I assumed. “I am going to beat them through the fabulous skills I have been secretly practiced for 6 months”, I confidently considered. Look at them, Betty-massive size, she couldn’t even get on a bike easily; and Dave, as thin as a rake, a wind blow might make him fall down. Stefani was the only one who I must took precaution with, since she always beats me since 3rd grade till now. Plus, her aim was Raymond too.
“Go”, Fred cried in account of a referee, we started immediately. As I had assumed before, it was easy for me to strike Betty and Dave. This was the real competition between me and Stef. Others were not involved, and Raymond was the price. I couldn’t wait to see Stef turn blue as she realized I actually WIN.
Stef tried to control her pedals fast and performed some waving moves of her own to get Ray’s attention. I too, rolled it up a little bit by ostentatious on having my two eyes closed and my two hands up and ignoring whether the bike went on. But, I believed, without a look, right now Ray might have seen my move, and Stef was widely opening her mouth like an “O” shape, with the lips sparkled in Bonny Bell Lip Smacker.
Suddenly, I heard the noise of glass shattering, causing me a big surprise as my eyes opened broadly. I lost my balance, felt off my bike, my back didn’t hit the earth surface, but my hands placed the ground hard. “Crack!” That crunching sound scared me. I wished my arm bones were Okay. But I didn’t have time to mull it over very long when I realized what I had done. An extensive scratch on a car was created by me. Wow, I blinked. I couldn't believe that was an incredibly terrible thing I have ever made. People began encircling me, looking curious, except for Stefani. She walked over me, offered me a smirk, and sneered ironically, “Are you okay? How pity you are!”
Now this is what happened. Cat got my tongue. I went from pink to red, I felt really hot and irritated, I flared up, unless it was something like volcano eruption, and its lava is something that I was going to fill on Stefani. I didn’t need her feeling pity for me. But, that wasn't problem, just when the car’s owner came along- Mr. Robinson, and witnessed the “criminal” who “decorated” his car just recently. It was my neighbor wearing navy blue, khaki pants, a black vest with a leather jacket, a pair of combat boots; it was some kind of 80’s fashion. But people‘s fashion “disaster” wasn’t a point, the main deal that was his car. It was just, he adored it like soul mate; he washed it every day, he wouldn’t let the kids touch it, he even named it, and later on, he was-if truth be told- an extreme “fastidious” man, which causes him being “single” ‘till now.
I sweat a lot, drop after drop tapped on the ground. Seriously, that enormous man frightened me, and I knew exactly how he might fell right now, according to his blood-boiling face. Did he really want to heave me against the wall as revenge? I had never been to this kind of situation before.
Guess what happened! As my mom suddenly heard the news from the neighbors, she showed up to my place, with her tears still on her eyes, and glared at me trembling. Oh no, I’d never seen my mom cried, in public! She tugged my ears, lifted me stood up, sucked in a deep heavy breath, and apologized to Mr. Robinson:
_ We are truly sorry for this damage, Sir. We will afford to pay the cost to fix this car. It’s just my stupid daughter, for a moment, she went over limit.
“Stupid?”  That sounded really insult to me, it must...like a PAIN. But I understood my mom; just recently I had heard my dad all lectured about the amount of money they spent for the car, and also the cost of taking me to the hospital for my wrist was broken. I felt guilty and quite upset, for both sides I guessed. My heart kept rising faster whenever I have to face either mom or dad. Mr. Robinson also appeared a few times at my house after the mishap actually, in which I couldn’t face him too. It was just so humiliated, I may have cried.
In brief, I ended up being grounded for a month. I was forbidden to watch my favorite fashion show on Fashion TV and instead of listening to some kind of scientific information on Discovery channel. Poor to my bike, I ruined it, which caused me a season of walking to school, instead of having transportation would be in advance.
***
Somehow, I thought my mind was getting a bit clearer as I realized the payment for the lesson I purchased was too expensive. I actually had to deal with the truth for sometimes, like Stefani-she won, I admitted, and so now on, I promised my self that I won’t let that kind of risky and selfish ideas flash in my mine, ever.

What does it mean “to pull a Charlie Gordon”?

At the beginning of the story Flowers for Algernon, Charlie Gordon was introduced as a mental retarded or a mental disability, basically the author was trying to describe Charlie was really feeble-minded. His companies treated him like their own entertainment from asking him to do silly things, like showing the girls how to mop the toilet, dance with Ellen…etc. He really thought his friends were nice to him, so after all he tried to satisfy their desires but didn’t know that he was also fooling himself in public. Those actions of him eventually cause him bringing along a line “to pull a Charlie Gordon”, in the story means that to perform idiotic like Charlie.
“To pull a Charlie Gordon” certainly being used quite a bit at the start of part I and was stopped immediately just when Charlie started to recover his mind. One of the examples that accidently set of the definition of “to pull a Charlie Gordon” that was when people said “Hey look at Joe or Frank or George, he really Pulled a Charlie Gordon” (progress report March 25th), which was explained as Joe, Frank or George were acting foolish like Charlie. Even through Charlie heard it, still, he did not recognize it, and despite that fact, Charlie laughed along with the companies of him because he considered it was happiness.
“To pull a Charlie Gordon”, actually was built up to be an insult that illustrates how everybody thought of Charlie was incredibly stupid, a "mock-able toy" of them or either the thoughtless of him. That was proven through the quote Amos Borg said to Ernie about his fault of losing a package: “What are you trying to be a Charlie Gordon” (progress report March 25th). Definitely there are much more insults that referred to the quote "to pull a Charlie Gordon" that his companies used to teas him, and somehow it developed Charlie Gordon a feeling that helped him to discovered the truth characteristic of his friends and be able to indentify what is good and bad for him. Still, just right after he realized that, his world suddenly being isolated, his friends were losing, day by day… and soon he felt so lonely.
